Sinn und Zweck. Teil(habe) II
Udruga IKS feiert ihr 10tes Jubiläum und hat natürlich ihre Volontäre eingeladen. Wie aufregend, meine erste „Betriebsfeier“ und ich darf sogar noch andere Volontäre mitbringen, dachte ich vorher. Wie schön, eine Familienfeier mit Freunden, dachte ich später. Ein idyllisches Haus am Fluss, ein spielfreudiger Garten, ein Schwein am Spieß und ein 12 Kilo Kuchen versüßt mit einer Menge toller Leute in lustiger Atmosphäre serviert an einem Tisch.
Grund zum Feiern ist auch die Bewilligung unseres Projektes „Summer in Petrinja“. Ein Camp für 15 internationale Volontäre und ein paar hundert Kinder. Im Juli. Den ganzen Juli genauer gesagt. Vorkenntnisse hin oder her, das hier ist ein anderes Land, eine andere Sprache, eine andere Dimension und auf jeden Fall ein ganzes Stück Arbeit, dass da auf uns zukommt. Coolerweise bin ich unter anderem für den ganzen Multimediakram zuständig. Internet, Radio, Zeitung, Videos, Poster, Flyer – web, audiovisual, print, visual. Richtig was zum Austoben!
Dan Europe. Am 9. Mai war Europatag (ach den gibt’s?!), der von uns mit einer kleinen aber feinen Promoaktion auf dem kleinen aber feinen Marktplatz – übrigens direkt vor einem der„vom Krieg zerstörten Gebäude, die alte Geister beherbergen und ohne Achtung weiter vor sich hin zerfallen“ – gefeiert wurde. Für mich geht dieser Europatag als erste Erfahrung als DDJ (Dilettant-DJ) in meine Geschichte ein. J
Volontär auch und vor allem außerhalb des Büros. Als dankbarer Besucher des lokalen Triathlonclubs für sporttechnische Beschäftigung und Ablenkung, hatte ich die Ehre mit Laura (aka. Tia) bei einem Radrennen, den Start zu geben und die Zeit zu stoppen. Mehr oder minder meine erste „Kroatisch-sprecherfahrung“ – Pet, Cetri, Tri, Dva, Jedan, Kreni! (Fünf, Vier, Drei, Zwei, Eins. GO!)

Purpose. Part(icipation) II
Udruga IKS celebrates their 10th aniversary and invited their volunteers of course. This is so exciting, my first „company party“ and I can even invite some other volunteers to come as well, is what I thought before. This is soo nice, a family party with friends, is what I thought later. An idyllic cottage at the river, a playful garden, a hog roast and a 12 kilo heavy cake sweetened with plenty of great people served in a fair and funny atmosphere.
Another reason to celebrate was the approval of our project „Summer in Petrinja“. A camp for 15 international volunteers and a view hundred kidz. In july. All july. Previous experiences or not, this is another country, another language, another dimension and certainly lot of work coming up. Phat thing that I’ll be in charge of the media part. Internet, radio, newspaper, videos, poster, flyer – web, audiovisual, print, visual. Heaps to have a fling!
Dan Europe. The 9th of may was european day (have you ever heard of that?!) which we celebrated with a nice but small promotion of EVS and the european union at the nice but small city square. By the way, remember the „degenerated buildings destroyed and haunted by the war“ I talked about in the latest column? Right in front of the biggest. This european day goes down in my biograghy as my first work experience as DDJ (dabbler DJ). J
Volunteering outside the office as well. Laura (aka. Tia) had been honoured to volunteer for the local triathlon club in starting and stopping the time for their cycle race. More or less my first „speaking croatien experience“ – Pet, Cetri, Tri, Dva, Jedan, Kreni! (five, four, three, two, one, go!)
Excellent keyword! Let’s go! Fulfil purpose!
