We Are Combining Generations, EVS projekt partnerske organizacije Şişli Kaymakamlığı iz Istanbula u Turskoj omogućio je Neslişahi Taşkiranoğullari i Orhanu Beratoğlu da 6 mjeseci života provedu kao volonteri Udruge IKS u Petrinji. Njihov projekt bio je usmjeren na upoznavanje strukture lokalne zajednice i provedbu istraživanja o razlikama među generacijama te pronalaženju rješenja koja bi mogla pomoći u premošćivanju tih razlika. Pripremom anketnog upitnika koji istražuje karakteristike pojedinih generacija u lokalnoj zajednici Petrinje cilj im je bio skrenuti pozornost na kontraste među generacijama i eliminirati konflikte proizašle iz generacijskog jaza među njima. 
Akcijama poput bilježenja savjeta koje su korisnici Doma za starije i nemoćne osobe Petrinja imali za mlade u gradu Petrinji i prenošenjem tih poruka mladim generacijama, pokušali su razviti svijest o važnosti solidarnosti i razumijevanja među njima. Osim u Hrvatskoj, projekt se provodio u Portugalu, Italiji i Rumunjskoj. Volonteri su posvetili 6 mjeseci istraživanju karakteristika pojedinih generacija, njihovim problemima i specifičnostima spajajući pojedince iz lokalne zajednice. Potrebe i karakteristike građana Petrinje, Neslişah i Orhan upoznali su volontiranjem i organizacijom aktivnosti u Domu za starije i nemoćne osobe, Domu za psihički bolesne odrasle osobe, Udruzi slijepih SMŽ, Društvu Naša Djeca Petrinja, oš Dragutin Tadijanović, oš Ivan Goran Kovačić Gora, oš Dvor, oš Vladimir Nazor Topusko, Gradskom muzeju Sisak te pohađanjem raznih sadržaja u gradu Petrinji poput edukacija u Zelenoj Kući, edukativnih predavanja o povijesti našeg područja u Interpretacijskom centru baštine Banovine, upoznavanjem lokalnog stanovništva i raznih ugostiteljskih objekata u gradu Petrinji, te stvaranjem prijateljskih spona.

S vama želimo podijeliti rezultate njihovog istraživanja.
U istraživanju je sveukupno sudjelovala 121 osoba s područja Petrinje, Siska i okolice. Kada ih podijelimo prema postojećim generacijskim kategorijama, sudjelovalo je 17 ispitanika generacija tradicionalista, 9 baby boomera, 21 pripadnik generacije X, 35 pripadnika generacije Y te 39 pripadnika generacije Z. Od 121 ispitanika, 61% su žene, a 39% muškarci. Kroz 28 anketnih pitanja sudionike se pitalo o dobi, spolu, obiteljskim odnosima, vremenu koje provode s članovima obitelji ili prijateljima, njihovim navikama i hobijima, bračnom statusu, poslu i karijeri, stavovima o pojedinim društvenim skupinama, religiji, zdravlju, životnim vrijednostima i drugim aspektima njihovih privatnih i poslovnih života.

We Are Combining Generations, an Erasmus + EVS project of the partner organization Şişli Kaymakamlığı from Istanbul, Turkey, gave Neslişah Taşkiranoğullari and Orhan Beratoğl the opportunity to spend 6 months as volunteers at the Association IKS in Petrinja. Their project focused on getting to know the structure of the local community and conducting research on inter-generational differences and finding solutions that could help bridge those differences. By preparing a questionnaire exploring the characteristics of individual generations in the local community of Petrinja, their aim was to draw attention to the contrasts between generations and to eliminate the conflicts arising from the generation gap between them.
Through actions such as recording the advice that the beneficiaries of the Petrinja Home for the Elderly and frail people for youth in the town of Petrinja and passing on these messages to young generations, they sought to develop awareness of the importance of solidarity and understanding among them. In addition to Croatia, the project was implemented in Portugal, Italy and Romania. The volunteers spent 6 months researching the characteristics of individual generations, their problems and specificities, bringing together individuals from the local community. The needs and characteristics of the citizens of Petrinja, Neslişah and Orhan met by volunteering and organizing activities in the Home for the Elderly and frail, the Home for the Mentally Ill Adults, the Association of the Blind, the Association Our Children Petrinja, the Elementary School Dragutin Tadijanović, the Elementary School Ivan Goran Kovačić Gora, the Elementary School Dvor, elementary school Vladimir Nazor Topusko, Sisak City Museum and by attending various events in the town of Petrinja, such as educations at the Green House, educational lectures on the history of our area at the Banovina Heritage Interpretation Center, getting to know the locals and various facilities in the town of Petrinja, and creating friendly ties.
We want to share with you the results of their research.
A total of 121 persons from the Petrinja, Sisak and surrounding areas participated in the study. Segregated by existing generational categories, 17 respondents were generations of traditionalists, 9 baby boomers, 21 were members of Generation X, 35 were members of Generation Y, and 39 were members of Generation Z. Of the 121 respondents, 61% were women and 39% were men. Through 28 survey questions, participants were asked about age, gender, family relationships, time they spend with family or friends, their habits and hobbies, marital status, work and career, attitudes about particular social groups, religion, health, life values and other aspects of their private and business lives.
