My name is Jodie, I am 18 years old and I come from Manosque in the South of France. I graduated from high school last year and decided to take a gap year to try new different projects and experiences.
From September to March, I did a civic service in the field of music and concerts. Then, I traveled across Europe by train with interrail and discovered 14 countries.
After that, I decided to come to Udruga IKS in Petrinja as a volunteer because it is at totally new experience for me. I have already worked with children but never with disabled or blind people. It resonated in me because I love to help people feel better and integrated in society.
I was also very interested in Croatian culture and landscapes.
During my free time, I like to pratice rhythmic gymnastics, photography, learn languages, travel, spend time with my family.
I also love music. I play the guitar for already 13 years and the drums for 2 years. This year, I started learning how to play the bass.
In the future, I would like to become an interpreter and continue traveling a lot like this year !

Moje ime je Jodie, imam 18 godina i dolazim iz Manosquea u južnoj Francuskoj.
Završila sam srednju školu prošle godine i odlučila sam uzeti godinu pauze kako bi isprobala nove različite projekte i iskustva.
Od rujna 2022. god pa do ožujka ove godine volontirala sam u području glazbe i koncerata. Zatim sam putovala kroz Europu vlakom s interrailom i otkrila 14 zemalja.
Nakon toga odlučila sam doći kao volonterka u Udrugu IKS u Petrinji jer je potpuno novo iskustvo za mene.
Već sam radila s djecom, ali nikad s osobama s teškoćama ili slijepim osobama. To je odjeknulo u meni jer volim pomagati ljudima da se osjećaju bolje i integrirani u društvo. Zanimaju me isto i hrvatska kultura i krajolici.
U slobodno vrijeme volim se baviti ritmičkom gimnastikom, fotografirati, učiti jezike, putovati, provoditi vrijeme sa svojom obitelji.
Volim i glazbu. Sviram gitaru već 13 godina, a bubnjeve 2 godine. Ove godine sam započela s učenjem kako svirati bas.
U budućnosti bih želila postati prevoditeljica i nastaviti puno putovati kao ove godine!
