Socijala is a summer festival that takes place in Petrinja, a small city near Zagreb. The festival took place during the 27, 28 and 29 of June of 2019. It was placed near the river, so during the day there were activities as yoga or catch the flag and it was possible to swim in the river when it was too hot. The festival tried to bring a sense of community among the people who live here. Therefore, it created a great atmosphere.
Our work as volunteers was to prepare everything for the festival. One day I went with my mentor and another volunteer to do promotion on the radio. I met the local people who work there, and I have to say that it was great because I explain that I was a volunteer in Petrinja for two months. Other volunteers went to Sisak, that is a one of the nearest big cities we have here to do promotion, they went in the morning and came back in the afternoon. They stayed on the university trying to get people involved in it.
I could only stayed one day because I needed to come back to do an exam, but I can say that I really enjoyed it. We played water games.
