Budimo solidarni jedni s drugima!

“The idea of human solidarity on a global scale can change the world”,  said Lech Wałęsa, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983. Solidarity means not only compassion, but also, as Lech Wałęsa underlines, solidarity means a sense of unity and shared responsibility.

  • On International Human Solidarity Day we must raise public awareness about the utmost significance of solidarity, in order to fulfill the desired targets of the United Nations for Sustainable Developement Goals

”We came here as hopeful volunteers. Touching people’s lives and helping them is something that gives us happiness. We know this will not only be achieved through material things. To us, the most important aid is the spiritual one. To us, solidarity is about making people really happy, making their jobs easier and taking them away from all the problems, even for a second. if you want to help people, you can cut wood for them, help them carry their shopping bags, spend time with them and listen to their problems. We came to Udruga IKS, Croatia to achieve this. We are doing everything we can to achieve this through activities in the home for mentally ill adults and the home for the elderly and frail and with children and blind people, where we volunteer. Life gets better when you help.  ”
